Not even two years after the release of her Renaissance album, Beyonce announced her new album, “Act II”, through a Verizon ad during the Superbowl LVIII.
Beyonce’s introduction of her new album has made many fans eager to hear her dip into a different genre of music.
“I’m so excited,” senior Miracle Eric said. “If you know Beyonce you know she always comes out with a banger.”
She said after seeing the commercial during the Super Bowl she immediately went to listen to the new releases.
“I love [“TEXAS HOLD ‘EM”], I’ve been listening to it non-stop,” Eric said.
Sophomore Juniper Monares also agreed, saying the song was her favortie on the album.
“I really like the beginning part of it,” Monares said.
Monares mentioned that even though she enjoys country music, her favorite songs of Beyonce’s come from other albums.
“[My favorite songs] are from her “Lemonade” album,” Monares said.
Eric said that she doesn’t listen to much country, but hearing it was from Beyonce convinced her to listen.
“To be honest, I don’t really like country music, but this has a kick to it,” Eric said.
Eric said that listening to Beyonce’s two releases gave her a new perspective of country music.
“I might start listening to other country music because this one’s actually good,” Eric said.
