The first ever Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) movie premiered on October 27th, and fans were anticipating its release.
The FNAF fandom has grown over the years, tending to resonate most with Generation Z, considering that the fandom blossomed during their childhood.
“I’ve been a part of the fandom for eight years,” sophomore Sofia Barro said.
However, some fans said that the movie didn’t exactly align with the lore and that the movie didn’t align with its timeline.
“The movie was good if you don’t know too much about the lore,” Barro said.
It was later revealed that the creator of the games and movie, Scott Cawthon didn’t intend to have the movie perfectly align with the games and books.
“Overall, it was enjoyable to watch,” Barro said. “The props and everything were awesome.”
The creation of the animatronics added to the interest of the movie since they were built, and not animated with CGI. There were some letdowns in the movie, but fans remain hopeful because the second movie is already confirmed to release in 2025.
