The Leadership class added cancer patients to the list of people in the community whom they have positively impacted.
The class is running a “Collect for Cures” fundraiser, where students try to raise as much money as possible. They can donate in the white boxes, which the Leadership class has placed throughout Marshall.
The money from the fundraiser will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help finance life-saving medical treatments for children in hospitals.
Leadership student and sophomore Daria Manitiu said she is grateful to have enabled students to do good deeds.
“I find it so rewarding to see the results [of the fundraiser] and how much of an impact our small acts can have on our community,” Manitiu said.
Last year, the donations from “Collect for Cures” amounted to almost two thousand dollars, which was the Leadership class’s goal.
